Hey there, Eric Feurstein here, feeling both thrilled and a bit nervous—I mean seriously, five months of updates and testing and now Midnight Murder Club is ready for its big debut. Wild, right?
Anyway! Check out the teaser (there’s a link somewhere above, if you find it, nice work!). It’s been a ride—pitch black halls, flashlights, the whole shebang. Thanks to everyone daring enough to test and play along. If you’re new, welcome to the club. Grab your mask, flashlight, maybe a weapon, and, importantly, some friends. Trust me, the shadows can get pretty lively (or eerie).
So here’s the deal: imagine a game where you’re basically playing hide and seek—but with guns, in a mansion, at night. That was kind of the vibe we were going for. Creepy yet hilarious. You’re creeping around and then bam! You’re laughing because someone just jumped out at you, totally caught off guard.
By the way, sound? It’s your best (or worst) friend here. Turn your flashlight on? You might see your enemy, but they’ll see you too. It’s all about risk, and maybe tempting fate.
Oh, wait, speaking of which! There’s this new mode—Graveyard Shift. Think curses, demon relics—real horror movie stuff. Golden things hidden in the mansion, with demons chasing you. Flaming Skulls, Shadow Men (super original name, I know), all the good spooky villains. Your job? Find, cleanse, survive. Easy, right? Spoiler: it’s not.
And then, there are Wildcards. Total game rule chaos. Want bear traps everywhere? Chandelier death traps? Exploding fireball victims? All in! Weird quirks for unpredictable fun. You mix these cards up, and suddenly, every game is a bizarre new scene.
Now here’s the genius bit—play with your buddies, totally free. Guest Pass, people. Only one sucker buys the game, the rest just join in. Seriously. You could be that one friend who buys nice things for the group. Just an idea.
Oh, this goes way back. Twelve-year-old me (or whatever) in 2015 hacked together a prototype, sent it off to my unsuspecting buddies. Fast forward—here we are. Crazy how some nostalgia-fueled concept becomes real.
We poured everything into this—greatly chaotic, slightly spooky, always fun. Dive in. See you—well, more likely you’ll hear me whisper first—in the shadows!
