Okay, so here’s the deal. Ra Ra Boom, yeah, it’s out now—Xbox Series X|S. I’m stoked. Not sure why, but this game has me hooked more than I’d like to admit. Maybe it’s the chaos of a side-scrolling beat ’em up, or maybe it’s just my fondness for smashing things virtually. Anyway, here we are.
Let me walk you through some of the funky enemies you’ll meet—or rather, beat—in this wild ride. Like, have you ever thought about train tracks as battleground lanes? Neither did I until The Brute. This dude’s a monster coaster, literally. He pounces, chomps, transforms into a coaster, and wow, do those attack phases keep you guessing or what?
Then there’s Martin. Love this little guy I almost didn’t know existed. Some flying nuisance in the Arcade level. You know, one of those ideas—floating menace? But nope, couldn’t figure out how to place him spatially. But then lucky us, toddler on giant holographic legs! Perfect, right? Because who wouldn’t laugh at that? Probably anyone without a sense of humor. Haha. Moving on.
Now, Bruce. Oh boy, Bruce. This one’s been a headache. Motion sickness—ever had to fix a video game for it? I have. Not fun! That’s where the chase scene comes in. And then Eugene joins. Who is Eugene, you ask? Just a stress ball of a robot that became a makeshift solution, exploding to damage Bruce. Still not ideal. Until—wait for it—we added attack phases. It finally worked, like a thing of beauty.
Hold up. What’s your favorite enemy? No, really, tell me. Download Ra Ra Boom, dive in—then, let’s chat.
