Whoa, okay, so you know the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, right? Well, there’s this wild pre-alpha thing going on for their game, Empire City, on the Quest 3. It’s, like, Cortopia Studios throwing us into this first-person, action-adventure mashup where you can either go solo or team up with three pals. Oh, and Ace St. Germain, the creative director over there, spilled some beans on the game’s moves and groove. Like, they’ve got this whole developer diary thing talking about parkour — but with a funky twist.
So, here’s a break: apparently, Ace calls it “anime parkour,” and there’s this whole tale about a bug that turned him into, I dunno, some sort of mailbox-launching ninja? Seriously, just whizzing across lampposts like no big deal. He’s quick to say, though, don’t expect “real parkour.” Your body in the game? It’s, like, super auto-tuned ninja style. We’re talking sprinting, jumping, dashing, climbing, and other wild stuff.
And get this: you’ll be flinging yourself at things like cars and streetlamps, just to keep that momentum rolling. For some strange reason, that image sticks with me. Oh, and ninja tools — yeah, those are coming, but they’re keeping tight-lipped about the details for now. Maybe I’m just impatient, but I NEED to know.
Apparently, they got inspired by those big-name games like Ghost of Tsushima. So, you get to play as all four brothers – you know, Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey. They’ve only dropped two developer diaries so far, but we got some sweet concept art last month, too.
Waiting’s part of the game (see what I did there?), since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City is hitting Quest and Steam in 2026. Buckle up, it’s going to be a ride.
