Sure thing, here it goes:

Wow, okay, so here’s the thing. One player decided to tackle Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on Expert mode without dodging or parrying. Yeah, you heard right. Didn’t avoid a single hit. I guess it’s all about proving something—anything?
Anyway, it’s kinda wild because the whole point of this RPG is, like, mastering dodges and parries. But someone thought, “Nah, let’s not.” And I can’t shake the image of someone just standing there, full-on “come at me, bro” vibes. It’s that tactical flexibility, I guess. Do whatever works, or doesn’t. Who knows.
Ymfah, this YouTuber who’s been around for what feels like forever (13 years, they say), pulled this off. He’s done crazy stuff before, too. Like some Cuphead madness in Dark Souls 3 and a gun-only run in Bloodborne. Oh, and Skyrim without carrying anything. Talk about wanting a challenge.
So, where was I? Right. This all-hit thing on Expert. The game basically says: “Master dodges or perish.” But Ymfah? He was like, “Nah, I’ll just stand here and take it.” Seriously though, he made every character into a tank. Just maxed out their vitality. More health means you can take more hits, right? Logical, if slightly bonkers.
But there’s more. The guy tampered with enemy Break bars too. Usually, this part of the game is just for boss battles, but an all-hit run means you want enemies to miss their turns whenever possible. So, there’s that.
Oh, right, the tutorial. So, the game’s intro forces a dodge tutorial on you. Super awkward. But Ymfah found a way around it—just turned off tutorials and bulldozed straight through, tank-style. I mean, if you ignore dodging and parrying, why not ignore tutorials too?
In the end, it proves you can ignore even core mechanics and still beat the game. Clair Obscur might be all about pairing real-time action with turn-based strategies, but if Ymfah’s taught us anything, it’s that sometimes, the rules are more of a gentle suggestion.
Anyway, this kind of offbeat creativity is what keeps gaming interesting, right? Like, who needs rules when the chaos is way more fun?
