So, Capcom’s at it again. They’ve got this thing called the Capcom Spotlight happening today, and honestly, I’m kinda all over the place thinking about it. They promised more details on the games they teased earlier this month — you know, like Resident Evil: Requiem and Pragmata, which just kind of appeared outta nowhere again? Not complaining, just saying.
Anyway, where was I? Right, Summer Game Fest. They just kind of dropped quick glimpses of these games, as if waving a shiny object in front of us just to say, “Wait for the good stuff later.” Well, that “later” is today, I guess. It all felt kinda like watching a trailer for a movie where you only see the logo and some dramatic music.
Capcom’s gonna show off their game lineup for real this time — or so they claim. Besides the new stuff, there’s gonna be a big update for Monster Hunter Wild. Title Update 2, or something like that. The moment they said “before the end of the month,” I could almost hear Monster Hunter fans everywhere setting reminders on their calendars.
And oh, Street Fighter 6… they’re like, “Hey, here’s Year 3’s roster!” Sagat’s back — who doesn’t love Sagat, right? He’s coming this summer. Then there’s C. Viper in the fall and Alex sometime early next year. And Ingrid too. Sagat’s date might drop during the show. Not crossing fingers, but hey.
But let’s circle back to Pragmata — everyone thought it had vanished into the void or something because of all those delays. Guess what? It’s making a grand comeback, showing actual gameplay. And they’re saying 2026 is the year — feels far, but real enough. If you squint, you might see the gameplay nuggets they teased at Summer Game Fest.
And of course, who could forget Resident Evil Requiem? Capcom’s been super mysterious about it, leading to wild speculation — like, “is it set in a parallel universe where cats rule the world?” Okay, that was me, not the internet. Media folks saw a demo; hopefully, we’ll get a peek tonight.
This Capcom Spotlight thing lasts 40 minutes — starting at 3 PM PT, 6 PM ET, 11 PM BST, if you’re in any of those zones. You can catch it on Capcom’s usual spots: YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and maybe even TikTok — if TikTok isn’t still banned somewhere.
And with that, I should probably wrap this ramble. Keep your snacks handy. Or don’t. Your call.
