I was just sitting around, minding my own business, when I stumbled onto this crazy bit about a new VRMMO. Resolute Games? Never heard of them before, but they’re doing something kinda wild with this Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist thing. So, apparently, they kicked off this crowdfunding campaign a while back. And boom, they’ve already hit $100,000. Like, what?
So, get this, it all started on June 24th. I know, time flies. Anyway, they’re trying to capture the magic — or chaos? — of some VR thing called Orbus VR that’s… well, not around anymore. I imagine the nostalgia is real. The folks making Eldramoor are ex-players of Orbus, so maybe they know exactly what’s up. Or maybe not, who knows.
Oh, and here’s a kicker: they smashed through their funding goal of $25,000 in just over an hour. Seriously? They went for something like the lowest bar to fund this big dreamland with questing, crafting, and who knows what kind of magical mumbo-jumbo.
They aimed to do what Zenith did — I think that’s another game? — by starting with small goals to ramp up big. You gotta admire the hustle. And the dreams, I guess.
Now, Resolute Games has been dangling all these stretch goals. Sweet, right? They’re talking about some ‘Bonfire’ system for healing (sounds toasty), Earth and Air abilities, and some new species you can play as, plus housing for players. This is a lot, I know.
Oh, and pets! They’re getting their own skills at $125,000. Which is cool if you’re into that sort of thing. Sounds like they’ll do more than look cute — like, actual sidekick stuff in the game.
Eldramoor’s supposed to hit Quest 3 and SteamVR in late 2026. Feels like a million years away, but time is weird. And their campaign wraps on July 24th, so there’s a bit more time for people to throw some cash their way if they’re interested. They’ve got more info on some Kickstarter page or something, if you want to dig in.
