Oops, got a bit lost in thought there—what was I saying? Ah yes, let’s dive in.
June 30. Mark it, circle it, scribble it on the fridge. Monster Hunter Wilds is throwing down with Free Title Update 2. New monsters ready to eat your face off—or just, like, mildly inconvenience you if you’re good. Anyway, check the trailer if you somehow need more excitement in your life.
Yeah, it’s all about that “Forbidden Lands” too. Why? Who knows. Something about the name just screams adventure, right? The director Yuya Tokuda spills all in this “Director’s Letter” thingy soon. Read it if you need more details than “new monsters.”
Okay, so we’re talking Lagiacrus—Leviathan boss of the waters. Heard of it? It’s finally here, riding electric currents like an aquatic rock star. But get on your game, you’re not gonna face this beast until you hit Hunter Rank 31 or something like that—and of course, after you’ve flipped the world upside down in some previous quests. No sweat.
Also, you’ll be wrestling with it mostly on dry land, but sometimes—surprise!—down underwater. It’s all splashy and chaotic, really. You think weapons are the answer? Wrong. Gotta stay on your toes for that sweet, sweet moment to strike back.
What else? Ah, those Lagiacrus materials for armor. Fashionistas, take note—new threads for hunters and your Palico buddies. Layered combos are a thing here, folks. Mix ‘n match to your heart’s desire.
Switching gears—a wyvern, Seregios, swoops in. Sounds like some golden dragon nightmare, doesn’t it? This one is all sharp scales and aerial dynamics. Seriously, it’s dropping bladescales that’ll make you bleed, so maybe pack a steak or something. Missions galore for those itching to prove themselves HR 31 and beyond.
But let’s not stop there. We have these spicy 8★ versions of Lagiacrus and Seregios, too, for the real thrill-seekers who enjoy a good dose of monster-induced panic.
Let’s talk weapons—specifically, looking good while not dying horribly. Layered Weapons go live. Want your sword to look like the weapon of your dreams but keep those OP stats? Finally happening.
Want more? Handlers like Eric are in the mix. Need a change of pace from Alma? Why not, right? Mina’s coming along too as a new support hunter—all Sword & Shield and ready to back you up.
Pictures or it didn’t happen. That’s what they say? Photo mode’s got heaps of new effects and sliders, because, well, why not look your absolute best while facing near-certain doom, right?
And let’s not skip the summer shenanigans with the Festival of Accord: Flamefete. Think summer hits, themed eats, and the whole hub dressed for the season’s warm embrace. From July 23 to August 6, soak it all in.
Then boom—Arch-Tempered Uth Duna crashes the party on July 30. It’s an Event Quest that says, “Hey, you HR 50+ guys, think you’re hot stuff? Prove it.”
Oh, and a guitar collab? Fender® joins the quest madness, rocking out with a Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster®—for all the in-game shredders who dare! From August 27 to September 24, jam away.
Finally, a mess of DLC for you lot—dance at no cost, or go premium with other trinkets. If splurging’s your thing, they’ve got that sorted too.
And there it is—a mess of updates like a fiesta! Free Title Update 3’s already on the horizon, so hold on to your hats—or helmets. Until then, happy hunting!
