So, yeah, Bigscreen’s finally getting those Beyond 2 headsets out the door. I mean, they had this hiccup—something about a production delay. Anyway, they’re shipping stuff now. But don’t get too excited; there’s a backlog, so it’ll take a bit before everyone gets theirs. August? September? Something like that.
Oh, and there are these two versions. The Beyond 2 and the 2e. The latter’s got eye-tracking. Kinda cool, but you pay extra—like a couple of hundred bucks more. $1,019 if you’re going basic; $1,219 if you want your headset watching you. Was surprised to learn folks went nuts during pre-orders. Apparently, in the first 24 hours, it outsold the original Beyond’s first four months. Wild, right?
The demand’s so heavy they’re cranking up production in LA. Hiring folks left and right. Even shipping engineers overseas to babysit the suppliers—imagine that for a job perk!
Now, if you were one of those who ordered the headset with those fancy Custom-Fit Cushions before May 7th, expect it by mid-August. They’ve also got something called the Halo Mount but don’t hold your breath—seems that’s on the late train till maybe October.
And get this—if you’d ordered the original Beyond 1 and never got it, congrats! You’re bumped up to the Beyond 2. No extra fees, nada. Probably saves them a headache or two.
Oh, almost forgot—there was this buzz about tariffs. You know, those dreaded taxes? Bigscreen says, “Don’t worry, no price hikes here.” I believe them. I think.
