Sony’s got this crazy expansion going on with their PS Store Summer Sale. It’s like they couldn’t stop themselves and just tossed in even more discounts. Not complaining, though. So, there’s this 2015 PS4 game – based on some film series that everyone loves. No points for guessing, but hey, it’s a fun nod to the movies.
### Mad Max is $4.99 on the PS Store
Avalanche Studios… ring any bells? Warner Bros. jumped in on this too. Anyway, Mad Max is down to $4.99 now. Quick math says that’s like 75% off from the usual $19.99. If you’re on PS4 or PS5 and itching for a deal, don’t drag your feet. The clock’s ticking till August 14 at 2:59 a.m. ET. Why 2:59? Beats me.
Right, so here’s the gist: you’re Mad Max. Solo dude in a wild world where cars are everything. Sounds stressful, yet kinda exciting, you know? You’re out there battling it out, trying to survive The Wasteland. Cars, brawls, bandits – the usual apocalypse vibe. Max, the dude, really just wants some peace, maybe a cozy spot in the “Plains of Silence.” But first, missions. Danger. Building some mega combat ride. Real edge-of-your-seat stuff.
Back in 2015, when this game hit the PS4, the reviews were… meh. Metacritic’s got it at 69 out of a possible high five, or was that 100? Either way, not glowing. But funny thing – our review gave it an 8 out of 10. Go figure.
And honestly, I liked playing Mad Max. The combat? Good stuff, both on foot and behind the wheel. Sure, it might get a smidge repetitive, but before you know it, you’ve logged way more hours than expected.
