Mark your calendars for December 6th, from 18:00 to 20:00 CET (or 17:00 to 19:00 UK time). This thrilling challenge opens its virtual doors to residents from a long list of countries including Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, among many others. However, players from far-flung regions, like the Azores and Svalbard archipelago, might find themselves unable to join due to geographical constraints.
How to Join the Action
If you’re eager to participate, you’ll need a Nintendo Account set to one of the eligible countries and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. Whether you’re using a paid plan or just a free trial, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure you have the game loaded on your Nintendo Switch. Dive into the game’s main menu, select “Online,” and click on “Official Tourney Qualifiers” to join the fray.
Understanding Tourney Scores
In this exclusive event, your aim will be to rack up the highest Tourney score, a measure of your gaming prowess against others. This score takes into account your match results and the scores of your opponents. You can check your standing at any time during the event. To top the charts, feel free to play as many matches as you like—every game started within the event time counts!
Prizes for the Victors
The top 10 players will walk away with 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points each. Meanwhile, those ranking from 11th to 100th place won’t go empty-handed; they’ll receive 1,000 Gold Points apiece. Be warned, if you change your Nintendo Account location to an ineligible country, you’ll be disqualified.
Cheating or exploiting bugs is a definite no-go and could lead to disqualification or even suspension of your Nintendo Account. Also note, prizes are non-transferable, and there aren’t any cash alternatives.
Prize Distribution
Nintendo plans to dish out the prizes to the winners’ Nintendo Accounts within two weeks of wrapping up the event. To see your newly acquired points, just log into My Nintendo Point Log.
