Alright, so here’s the thing. Elden Ring Nightreign servers, after a bit of a hiccup earlier today – they’re back! Yeah, FromSoftware took them offline for some maintenance. During that downtime – and I’ll admit, I was quite the anxious hedgehog waiting – they dropped their first big patch since launch. And hey, solo players, listen up, this one’s for you.
So, we’ve got this Update 1.01.1 hitting all the platforms. Interesting stuff. And I’ve got to say, finally.
Shortly after Nightreign kicked off, folks weren’t too happy. They were like, “Why’s this game so tough on us lone wolves?” You know, it’s meant for groups of three, sure – but why make it even tougher when you’re playing solo?
FromSoftware promised, “We’ll fix it! Just hang tight for the next big patch.” Which, surprise – is here sooner than expected.
Here’s the scoop: when you fly solo, two big changes come into play. First, they tossed in this freebie revival during night boss fights. Every time. Imagine not having to earn this perk like before. Co-op folks still do, but hey, solo’s getting some love. They also sweetened the deal by boosting those runes you snag solo. It evens things out, if you ask me. Probably makes leveling up a bit less of a grind, too.
And for everyone else wandering the Nightreign, more high-rarity Relics pop up once you hit Day 3 in an Expedition. Makes that final boss encounter less of a headache. Plus, you’re way more likely to stumble upon these Relics from Scenic Flat stones. Hit up the Small Jar Bazaar for those – go figure.
But beyond those tweaks and shiny new features – oh, the list of bug fixes got me dizzy. Major shout-out to camera fixes when you activate Wings of Salvation – that whole Guardian’s Ultimate thing, yeah, now less jerky. Whoever thought shaky cams were good should try gaming with headaches – not cool.
Some skills were just being plain stubborn about not triggering – that’s sorted now. There’s a whole lineup of bug fixes coming to the rescue, but I won’t bore you with exact details. Just know they fixed it (mostly).
And Steam folks, don’t think you’ve been forgotten in this party. Weird graphics bugs when you’ve got settings on “Low” – fixed. Keyboard warriors, climbing shouldn’t feel like ice skating uphill anymore.
If you’re curious or need some guidance, maybe drop by that guide we penned. It’s got builds, shortcuts, Nightlords ranked – you know, the usual. But for now, I’m off to test this patch myself. Should you be too? Absolutely.
