Hey, so guess what? IO Interactive’s doing this thing — their first-ever IOI Showcase. It’s like, a mix of online vibes and in-person stuff, where they’ll chat about their new games. Weirdly excited about it? Yep, I am.
Anyway, it’s gonna stream at 6pm PDT (or 9pm EDT) on Friday, June 6. But if you’re in the UK or Europe, you know the drill, it’s one of those "up at the crack of dawn" situations — 2am BST or 3am CEST on Saturday, June 7. You can catch it on, you know, Twitch, YouTube or TikTok. Thank goodness for the internet, right?
And what’s the deal with the showcase? Expect trailers and drama. I mean, what’s a game event without some surprises? There’s even supposed to be a live Q&A. Yeah, talk about keeping it real. Some big names from IO Interactive and Build A Rocket Boy will be there, chatting it up. Oh, and they’re showing off their fancy game engine, Glacier. I keep wondering, do these engines have gears and pistons? Probably not, but a mind can wander.
CEO Hakan Abrak says, “IOI Showcase celebrates our 25-year history with the HITMAN franchise and shares an in-depth look at the diverse future of our studio. We’ve prepared some truly exciting surprises.” Sounds like party talk, but hey, count me in!
So, what’s on the menu? Here’s what I heard:
-
Hitman World of Assassination: It’s hitting that big 25. Expect chatter about new stuff and team-ups. Maybe even a cake.
-
MindsEye: Okay, this one’s from Build A Rocket Boy and IOI Partners. Fancy name, huh? It’s like an action-adventure thriller, they say. Seems it’ll be getting fresh content on the regular. Launching June 10, 2025. It’s a date — not one to save just yet, but you get it.
- 007 First Light: James Bond fans, rejoice! So this is IO Interactive’s love letter to Bond. Expect them to spill the beans this week. Shaken, not stirred, right?
And then there’s a heading about the IOI Showcase Livestream in June 2025. Figures there might be more info stuffed in there, but like, that’s future-you’s problem.
So yeah, mark those calendars or don’t. But hey, if you miss it, I guess there’s probably a recap floating around somewhere after. Cheers to that!
