Oh man, do you remember way back in November? The whole fuss about Tencent’s game, Light of Motiram? It was like, a total Horizon copycat. Crazy, right? Even got the nod to come out on PS5. But, surprise, surprise — Sony wasn’t having it. They’ve hauled Tencent into court over in California. Trademark infringement, they say. You know, all the legal jazz about copyright and whatnot. Apparently, they’re calling it a “slavish clone” of Horizon from Guerrilla Games. I mean, confusion alert, much?
Anyway, funny thing — Tencent had this grand plan for their own Horizon thing, but it totally flopped. Like, major crash and burn. And then, out of nowhere, boom, Light of Motiram pops up. Coincidence, or… something else? Not super shocking, I’d say. But isn’t it wild it took Sony ages to jump on this, especially with all the connections to those big-name publishers?
So here’s the kicker: Do you reckon Light of Motiram was ever gonna see the light, no pun intended? I’m curious, let us know what you think!
