Okay, so picture this: Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist. Sounds like something straight outta a fantasy novel, right? Anyway, they’re jumping on Kickstarter next week. You know, to bring back the vibe of the recently discontinued Orbus VR. June 24th is the big day, by the way.
Resolute Games, I swear, these folks are something else. Former Orbus players who just decided, hey, let’s do this thing ourselves. Formed the studio in like, February 2024. Gotta love that can-do spirit. They say they’re crafting a VRMMO to fill the void, and man, aren’t we all just a little curious?
Here’s the kicker from Resolute: Dive into this mystical world called Eldramoor—like a second home. Everything seems cozy until, surprise, a dark force shows up. Isn’t that just life, though? Anyway, you’re basically living the legend of Eldranis, trying to keep the peace, get involved in the local tavern with some mini-games. Could picture myself losing hours there easily, ha!
They’re talking about these classes—like Warrior, Mage, Monk, Alchemist. Tons of stuff to do, like raids, dungeons, big baddies and whatnot. There’s this co-op gathering thing, too, so call your friends. Not everything might be on the table at launch, classic move, right?
Oh, and don’t ask me about the cash goals or whatever fancy tiered stuff, ‘cause they’re playing coy with that info. Their aim? $25,000. Aiming high like Zenith did back in the day. But then, the whole VR MMORPG scene is kinda tricky. Orbus VR went bye-bye earlier this year, and then Zenith folks took a step back due to, well, money woes. Typical story.
Ilysia is hanging in there, surprisingly. I mean, they got that Kickstarter boost in 2020, so maybe there’s hope? Available on Quest and SteamVR and keeps updating. Cool stuff.
Souza, the head honcho over at Resolute, dropped by on Discord to chat. Orbus was a gem for its time, she says, but it didn’t really evolve past 2019. Zenith and Ilysia grabbed the spotlight, and she kinda digs Ilysia.
Eldramoor’s slated for a December 2026 release, or so they say. Summer 2026 for the beta. Just around the corner, right? Hah. Anyway, mark June 24th on your calendar for the Kickstarter run. It’s till July 24th. The game’s already up on Steam to wishlist. Go check it out if you’re into that sorta thing.
