Alright, so, I was reading this thing about Overwatch 2. You know, the game? Anyway, its director, Aaron Keller, was all excited, practically bursting, about these big plans they have. Like, huge. Apparently, they’re cooking up some massive updates ’cause they’ve been listening to what people are shouting about. Feedback, they call it. Inspiration, whatever.
So, recently, there was this Season 16. Got a bunch of changes. New stadium mode and all. They tossed in this 5v5 best-of-seven mode, and my brain kinda froze there. Think they even messed with the hero abilities and turned the camera to some third-person view. Why? Who even knows.
Anyway—wait, did I mention they’re also futzing with the perk system? Season 15 had perks, now they just keep tweaking them. Gotta keep things fresh and fair, right? Or that’s what they say. But Keller? He’s like, “This ain’t the end, folks!” He’s hinting at more surprise attacks in future updates. Like, mysterious stuff they’re not spilling about yet. Next year’s gonna be “bonkers,” he claims. Sounds wild.
Uh, what else is coming? Oh yeah, they’ve got new heroes. There’s this Aqua guy. Water-something support hero, but details are thin. The Stadium mode has a plan too. More heroes, more maps—they’re really stacking it up. Imagine being Freja, making her debut mid-Season 16. Must be a scene.
Blizzard seems pretty determined to keep this thing rolling. Rival games popping up everywhere—Marvel Rivals, or something like that. Geez, competition. But new features could be just the hook to keep folks coming back. Or not. We’ll see, right?
I guess that’s where we’re at with Overwatch 2. Big dreams, bigger updates, and a whole lot of waiting to see what actually happens.
