Oh boy, where do I even start with this? It’s like someone mashed up my latest binge-watching obsession on Netflix, this wild ride called KPop Demon Hunters, with my old-time love affair—Star Wars (yeah, still holding onto that one). Now, who would’ve thought Cal Kestis and Bode Akuna from the Jedi games would have anything in common with, um, Rumi, Zoey, and Mira from HUNTR/X? Not me, for sure.
But here we are, all of them smashing baddies and, of course, looking ridiculously cool doing it. Seriously, who ever said you can’t have style while taking down your enemies? Oh, right, that video—you gotta check it out. Made by someone who goes by AnimatedJen. Trust me, it’s the kind of thing you want with your morning coffee if you’re craving some serious butt-kicking vibes.
Anyway, there’s this track, “How It’s Done,” blasting in the background while Cal, Bode, and Merrin are giving Imperial goons a serious run for their money. No dramatic plane-crashing scenes here, but still, those moves are oh-so-satisfying to watch.
And then—get this—Bode’s like, “You want some more? Cal, I think they want some more.” And bam! Next thing you know, Cal’s kicking a trooper and Bode’s flying in with that jetpack of his, landing a punch that feels straight out of an action movie. Merrin’s not left out, twirling her staff like she’s in some badass dance-off. I’m grinning like a kid in a candy store, and there’s still a whole minute of the video to go!
Been following AnimatedJen’s stuff for a hot minute. The effort and passion poured into these stories, especially that alternative universe where Cal turns Inquisitor? Mind-blown. I’d sign up for that drama any day. The clamoring for those Jedi characters to hit the live-action screen is real—believe me.
Star Wars, man. Fans taking tales, giving them spins you never saw coming—that’s what I live for. And this K-Pop Jedi collab? Definitely non-canon, but does it even matter? I’m dubbing this squad MANT/S. Cere Junda as their manager? Yes, please. Someone, throw this onto AO3 right now! And if any modders want to whip up these outfits, you have my deepest gratitude in advance.
Catch me later, cuz I’ll be reloading Jedi: Fallen Order, cranking “Takedown,” and slicing through Imperial grunts like it’s a Jedi’s version of a dance party.
