VR Games Showcase is back—yeah, that thing everyone’s buzzing about. I’m not even kidding. Next month, Summer 2025, it’s gonna drop some major XR game reveals. Mark your calendar or stick a Post-it on your forehead or something.
So, what’s happening? August 12th, 8:40 AM PT—yep, remember your time zone, or you’ll be confused as heck. It starts with this special ‘XR Indies & Friends’ — sounds like a party, right? Anyway, the main deal kicks off at 9:00 AM PT. Probably a good time to grab coffee, unless you’re one of those green tea types.
The folks running this thing say they’ve got some “major reveals.” I don’t know about you, but that’s got my curiosity meter off the charts, especially if you’re into Quest, PSVR 2, or PC VR. They’ve got Forefront, Reach, and Flat2VR Studios stuff in the lineup. Ever heard of those? They’re kinda a big deal.
Ah, and Polyarc—you know, the people behind Moss? They’re putting on this VR Developer Direct show from Seattle about something called Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss. No idea why they chose Seattle. Maybe they just love rain.
Before I forget, the pre-show—20 minutes of ‘XR Indies & Friends,’ showcasing indie stuff that’s supposedly awesome. Maybe they’re right. Maybe not. We’ll see.
