So, there’s this game, right? It’s called Into the Radius 2. A survival shooter — like, you know, where you’re just tossed into some weird, dangerous place and have to, well, survive. Reminds me of when I got lost in that creepy corn maze once. Anyway, this game’s hitting the Quest 3 and 3S later this month. I think it’s May 21, but don’t quote me on that.
Picture this: You’re in the Pechorsk Security Zone. No clue what’s going on, but you’re the one who has to survive. Or you can team up with a buddy. That could be fun—if they don’t freak out and leave you. CM Games, an Estonian team (love those guys for some reason), first dropped it on Steam Early Access and then teased us about the Quest 3 thingy.
Oh, but hold your horses! The Quest 3 version won’t have everything right away, compared to PC VR. Guess the Pechorsk Outskirts and those Distortion Zones won’t be there. Kind of like ordering a burger and finding out they forgot the pickles. Anyway, no cross-platform multiplayer, either. Bummer. Oh, and if you’re hoping for a Quest 2 version, don’t. It’s not happening.
But hey, not all doom and gloom—most of the cool stuff from this ‘Ghost Town’ update is making it in. So, you’ll get these nifty chest rigs, guns, and attachments. Ever tried proximity voice chat in games? You should. You can practically whisper to your team. Makes me want to test it out, but maybe I’d spend more time chatting than playing. Who knows?
I could ramble on, but let’s just say the game’s already on Steam Early Access, and Quest 3 and 3S get it on May 21. I’m curious how it’ll turn out. Might dive back into it. Or not. Depends on how lazy I feel.
