So, Survios is up to its thing again. I heard they’re rolling out Alien: Rogue Incursion as a flatscreen thing for PC and PS5. Yeah, “Evolved Edition” or something. Feels like yesterday I saw folks fumbling through it on PSVR 2. And PC VR, of course. Quest 3 jumped on the bandwagon a bit later, in 2025, if my memory serves me. Reviews were, well, mixed—like that first bite of a weird new pizza topping. Necessary patches came in, and boom, less predictably creepy aliens.
Now they’re putting on their magician hats, waving a wand or something, and popping out this “re-envisioned” masterpiece for PC and PS5. Steam and PlayStation Store, mark your calendars for September 30th, 2025. That’s when Zula Hendricks and Davis 01, her synth buddy, make their stealthy entrance, or something like that, onto the flat screen. Imagine sneaking around a Xenomorph-infested research joint with stealth and an armory. No biggie, right?
And, like a cliffhanger on a Friday night soap, this flatscreen jazz is just Act One of two. Those Survios folks are cooking up Part Two where Zula faces…brace for it…deadlier stuff and tougher puzzles. But, nobody knows when Part Two drops. VR, flat, both? Guess we’re all in the same leaky boat of uncertainty.
Funny thing, this jump from VR to flatscreen isn’t exactly a new trick for Survios. Remember 2021? Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions, the arcade answer to VR’s Creed: Rise to Glory? That was a thing. Just goes to show, they like mixing it up, keeping us guessing. Maybe it’s their thing, or maybe they just like puzzles. Who knows? Whatever floats their boat, I guess.
