Okay, so I’ve been thinking about Disney Dreamlight Valley and — you know — how it’s always been a kinda homage to all those Disney and Pixar flicks. Seriously, if you’ve played the game, you’d see all these characters, like, BAM! Right in your face, reminding you where they all came from. But, hold on, Disney’s not just chilling there with just those studios, right? They’ve got a zillion other things going on. And slowly but surely, they’re doing this sneaky thing where they sprinkle in bits from their other big-money properties. Mostly in the game’s vibes, furniture, clothes…you know, the whole shebang. But there’s this thing, right? The characters. They’re still strictly Disney and Pixar for now. Or maybe not? It’s confusing, honestly.
So, here’s the deal. They’ve kinda slipped in a character from outside the usual Disney-Pixar circle as a “Companion.” Yeah, just one so far, but it’s got folks thinking. R2-D2 (yep, that little beeping droid) found its way in. Kind of a big leap from all those cute animal sidekicks they usually have, like Pegasus or Minnie’s cat Figaro. Why R2-D2 is here and not others? Beats me. Maybe because everyone loves Star Wars stuff?
And don’t get me started on the Star Wars gear. They went all out with R2-D2, throwing in a whole bunch of Star Wars-y doodads too. Like, Naboo-style house, fancy robes, you name it — all celebrating that big Star Wars day, May the 4th. Fun times for everyone, I’d say. Also, you’d think they’d bring in C3PO too, right? Those two are kind of a package deal. Maybe they’re saving him for next year or… I dunno, some other strategic reason. Business, am I right?
But wait — adding C3PO isn’t just a simple flick of the switch. The guy walks on two legs! Kinda shakes things up, ‘cause most Companions in the game are more…animalistic? You know, four legs or rolling around. So, what do they do with a walking-talking droid? Do they break their usual routine, or what? Maybe he becomes a full-on character instead of a sidekick. That’s a head-scratcher.
Best scenario? They just get creative, make him a bipedal pal. Disney’s usually about its animated characters, right? So throwing in more Star Wars buddies could rock the boat. But, I mean, in a good way! People dig Star Wars. Or who knows, maybe they throw a curveball and he becomes a funky NPC or something chic and decorative. Regardless, R2-D2 and C3PO need to be reunited, don’t they? It’s kinda their thing.
