Silent Hill f is hitting the scene on Sept. 25 — or so Konami slipped in during this week’s PlayStation State of Play. Can you believe it? Over ten years since a fresh Silent Hill title decided to wade into the horror waters. And that’s not even counting last year’s dip with the Silent Hill 2 Remake.
We’re talking Hinako, a student stuck in, of all places, 1960s Japan. Weird for a series usually chilling itself out in American backwoods. Picture this: fog rolls in (cue spooky music), and townsfolk just go… poof. Gone. Gotta love a Silent Hill plot twist, right?
Anyway — ugh, sorry, lost my train of thought — Hinako finds herself amidst what probably were her classmates. Now, they’re something else… like creatures from your worst nightmares. Armed with, get this, a pipe. She’s like a makeshift warrior. Oh, and then there’s a spear. Because why not? She finds it handy approaching some creepy shrine. That face on the ominous figure there? Enough to haunt your dreams for days.
PlayStation Blog spilled the beans that Silent Hill f is cranking up the melee and action. More so than the Silent Hill 2 redux. Makes you think, doesn’t it? Why shake things up now?
Described as a “standalone spinoff,” this one aims to spook both old fans and fresh meat alike. Expect a full fright-fest when it pops onto PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a ride.
