Okay, so this week Sony did this thing called State of Play, right? And honestly, they were pretty vague about it initially. Seriously, what even was that description? Anyway, PlayStation’s been kinda chill on the big games front this year. I mean, Ghost of Yotei was expected to crash the party. That’s supposedly their big shot for 2025, but everybody was hoping—like, really hoping—it’d pop up.
I mean, come on. This game is supposed to drop in October, and we’ve seen, like, zilch of the actual game. Not that I’m counting or anything. Wait, I lied. I totally am.
Oh, and here’s the kicker! Ghost of Yotei did make a cameo at the State of Play showcase. So blink and you’d miss it, but yeah, it was there. Sucker Punch, the developers, tossed out this quick teaser. Honestly, it felt like trying to catch fog with bare hands—poof, gone! Left us all practically begging for more.
And they heard us. Apparently, there’s gonna be an entire State of Play dedicated just to the Ghost of Tsushima sequel. But, brace yourself; it’s set for July. Why wait, right? July can’t come fast enough. Or too fast. I forget how the saying goes.
This July thing is promising a deep dive into Yotei’s gameplay and all that jazz—exploration, combat, you name it. Fingers crossed they don’t leave it till the end of the month. That’d be torture.
Oh, mark your calendars—October 2, Ghost of Yotei lands on PS5. And maybe by the time we’ve all aged a couple of years, it’ll hit the PC shelves. So, that’s that.
