Ah, where do I even start with this? Okay, so — Dysmantle, you know, that wild survival game? Apparently, it’s been pretty popular. Over two million copies sold. Let that sink in for a sec. Not exactly pocket change!
So, the crew at 10tons, the folks behind the game, they shared this milestone. It’s been like, a good 40 months since the game’s big debut happened back in November 2021. Mind you, it had about a year in this pre-launch “Early Access” phase. Guess they were just testing the waters or something. Who wouldn’t, right? It’s all over the place now: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch… heck, even on iPhones and Androids. But, of course, no one’s breaking down how many were bought on each device. Suspense, suspense.
And to mark this occasion of selling two million copies, they’re releasing a physical version. Yep, old school discs! For PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch crowd. June 27th is the date to remember, folks. Imagine unboxing that!
Oh, and Sampo Töyssy, you know, co-founder and vice-CEO at 10tons, had some words too. Kind of heartfelt, saying thanks to the fans for pushing the game over this epic seller mark. There’s a twist though. This physical version was supposed to make its way to the US — but, uh, some “unfortunate circumstances” got in the way. Bummer, right? Anyway, they’re hoping everyone who wants this piece of gaming history can still snag a copy. Fingers crossed.
