Oh man, so they just dropped some Warframe news at Pax East, and guess what? We’re finally getting a spider-themed warframe. Oraxia. Yep, Isleweaver update’s bringing her in June, though they’re being all mysterious about the exact date.
So, picture this – Oraxia is chilling (or maybe not so chill) on her little island in Duviri. You remember Duviri, right? That massive, open world they threw at us in 2023? Anyway — it’s getting a facelift with this update. Oraxia has been stuck there for God-knows-how-long, and to get her, you’ll need to take her down. Why? Well, for currency, duh. Which, in the ever-fun grind of Warframe, translates to snatching up the 61st warframe and some cool weapons. Exciting, right?
Funny thing, the whole “spider warframe” idea has been a running joke on the devstreams. Folks have been bugging the devs for ages. And, not gonna lie, DE loves their monster-themed warframes. You got Voruna – the werewolf (loved by all, except, maybe, when farming Lua felt like poking your eye out) and Sevagoth, our friendly space ghost, plus Inaros, the mummy tank. Spiders? Inevitable. But let’s be real, Limbo still holds the “creepiest warframe” crown. If you know, you know.
So, moving on, Isleweaver isn’t just about banging heads with Oraxia. It’s like a whole narrative explosion. Major Neci Rusalka pops over to Duviri — see where this is going? Players are supposed to take her down, all while ACTUALLY using their own warframes and weapons. Revolutionary, right? Normally, in Duviri’s rogue-like fashion, you’re stuck with the basics. But hey, new rules!
Oh, and Valkyr’s getting a rework! If you loved her, don’t worry. She’s getting infused with rage (maybe she’s been watching too much Hulk). So yeah, this update’s loaded.
Duviri… it’s a mixed bag. Some folks are into it, mostly because it lets them unlock stuff without revisiting old grindfests. Others… well, they miss their overpowered Saryn Prime. But, maybe, Isleweaver gives us hope that those gripes might get a fix. June’s the month to watch. Fingers crossed.
Is anyone else pumped for Oraxia and Isleweaver, or is it just me? Shout it out below!
