Oh man, so the last beta for Dune Awakening is up and running. And guess what, now a bunch of new players can finally check out Funcom’s survival MMO. I remember hearing about it awhile back, and now it’s finally open for testing over the weekend. They’re only letting people loose in the first two big areas, though, so it sounds like just a little taste of what’s coming. But hey, gotta start somewhere, right?
The game’s release date got pushed to June 10 — yeah, kind of a bummer for those counting the days. If you were holding out for May 15, well, here’s a little consolation prize: one last free ride in the beta. It’s like a light at the end of this delay tunnel. Or is that too cheesy? Whatever.
I remember reading our own preview on this — wait, did I mention this? Anyway, it was mostly positive, but left those nerdy gamedev questions hanging in the air.
