Okay, so… it starts with Donald, who’s apparently not having it anymore and just straight-up deleting Steam from his PC. Why? No clue. But it feels like a whole mood, you know?
Anyhow, the day after the big Summer Game Fest was like a marathon for game announcements. We’re talking nearly six hours of this stuff. Yeah, really. Two new shows made it a full-on ordeal. So here’s a quick, unordered blaze through what’s coming to Switch 1 or 2. It’s confusing ’cause they just slapped a Switch logo on most of these. Helpful, right?
### Wholesome Direct
Surprise drops included Instants, a scrapbook game, and Squeakross: Home Squeak Home — a furniture creator/nonogram puzzle combo. Why they thought to mix those? No idea. Then, there’s Everdeep Aurora arriving July 10, about a kitten drilling to find its mom — sounds cute until you realize there’s drilling involved. Also, Islanders: New Shores — probably something to do with islands, or shores maybe.
Monument Valley III’s finally pegged for July 25. Then, Tales of the Shire, some Hobbit farm sim thing, is allegedly dropping on the 29th. It’s been delayed a gazillion times already, so who knows. Discounty? August 21. Dystopian shopping vibes. Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar airs its cross-platform shindig on August 27. Plus, Is This Seat Taken? coming in August; it’s all about seating puzzles. A real thinker.
Oh, and Little Kitty, Big City updates this summer with more cats and city bits. Neat, right? Milano’s Odd Job Collection gets a Western debut (finally!) in 2025, thanks to XSEED. Winter Burrow, a woodland survival game, also listed for 2025. Hold your breath on that one. Episodic puzzle adventure The Guardian of Nature? Still no Switch date, but you can Steam the first episode now if you’re desperate.
### Women Led Games Showcase
Re:Fresh, the 3D city rebuilder/walking simulator, is out June 12, which was only on PC before. Wander Stars, with its anime feels and word-combo battle mechanics, lands August 1. Apparently, it was teased in the Latin American Games showcase — if anyone remembers. Oh, and Spilled, the oil cleanup game, hops to Switch soon. Why anyone wants to simulate that, I’ll never know.
Perfect Tides: Station to Station gives us retro 1990s PC game vibes — remember those? That’s out next January. Tavern Tale Stories: Dreamwalker and a foraging something-or-other called Out and About are both due in 2026. Woodo, which looks like a wooden toy set gone wild, didn’t even get a date. Typical.
### Latin American Games Showcase
Horror platformer, Chunky Jump, out Q3. Don’t ask me what chunky means here. Shadow Sacrements: The Roots of Evil, another, uh, horror thing apparently more violent, targets Q4. The Requiem of Shadows — maybe Zelda fans will care? A spring release is aimed. Adventure game Bogdan’s Cross and Taios’ Journey, another anime thing, hope for Q4 2026. Noir detective piece The Shadow Syndicate is next year — solve mysteries, choose your violence level, I guess. Castlebound and Changer Seven (henshin hero action with hero swapping!) — no dates, just vibes.
### Southeast Asian Games Showcase
Giga Bash got new DLC. Cool. Upin and Ipin Universe got a tease — twins, mischief, classic. June 26 drops an update for Cat Quest III, “Tavern Tales,” adding fights? Plus, Until Then, a pixel art visual novel, releases fully, with more updates by year’s end. Sedup! A Culinary Adventure — some cooking 3D action deal goes Q4. Coffee Talk Tokyo announced for 2026.
### Future Games Show
Despite all the tekkie hiccups, How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine pulls a unique co-op stunt on June 26 — split console-smart device approach. Also, Call of the Elder Gods, a horror puzzle number exclusive to Switch 2, got hyped with voice casting. Lost Eidolons: Call of the Witch teased as well.
Microids confirms Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile for September. Side-scrolling Constance will grace both Switches separately next year, which they announced in their infinite wisdom. Formula Legends seems intent on replicating F1 history, subbing names, no date, just aspiration.
### Australia / New Zealand Showcase
Misc: A Tiny Tale on July 22 has a small robot roaming a world post-human times — sounds lonely but alright. Microvania shows some Metroid love and eyeing a late 2025 Switch intro.
And apparently, we haven’t had enough, with more tomorrow when Microsoft and the long, infamous PC Gaming Show join the chaos.
