Man, so there I was, plopped in front of the screen, when nDreams Elevation just dropped something wild during the Future Games Show. They’re hyping up this VR thing called Reach. I mean, we’re talking full-on parkour, massive combats, and a world that’s detailed enough to get lost in. Who knew?
Okay, so nDreams Elevation, this studio that kind of just showed up like two years ago, is launching their first game. And wow do they have the guts to call it their “most ambitious title.” Gotta respect that kind of boldness, right? Anyway, Reach is all about running around, jumping, and fighting in a way that’s apparently tailored for VR – so you’re battling these big, mythical creatures in a whole new style. Or at least that’s the promise.
Speaking of thrills, the trailer’s got players bouncing around like in Fracked and Synapse. If you’ve played those, you know the vibe. It’s got this speedy, fluid motion thing going on; you can climb and zip-line like a hyperactive squirrel on caffeine. Elevation’s saying every move you make twists the adventure’s path. Tuesday, June 10th – mark it – ’cause they’re diving into more of the gritty details then.
And here’s a curveball for ya: Shuhei Yoshida, the gaming legend himself, pitched in. Kind of surreal, right? Hearing Shu say it’s mind-blowing sort of gives an extra zing. He’s hyped about the immersion and whatnot, saying it pushes VR gameplay like never before. Guess we’ll see if that lives up to the legend, huh?
Glenn Brace, the head honcho at Elevation, chirped in too. He makes it sound like it’s gonna blend the real with the virtual, where you control every tiny move. Pretty hefty claim but let’s roll with it. They reckon it’s gonna set new standards or something.
Oh, and if you’re the planning type, you can already wishlist Reach. It’s up on every major store – Horizon, PlayStation Store, Steam. Decisions, decisions. Meanwhile, I’m just sitting here trying to keep up with this madness.
